2013 Jeanneret Old Vine Grenache
- Clare Valley
- Bottle size
- 750 mL
Unapologetically ripe and rich. Grenache does this style like no other variety and this wine is an impossibly complex medley of spice and warm herbs (think rosemary, thyme, oregano…) and with a lift that’s almost indecent. Perfectly in balance, all these characteristics follow through to the palate that finishes like silk. Seamless, long soft and lush. Again, it’s Grenache in all its glory and like no other.

- Food Pairing
A butterflied leg of lamb rubbed with a paste of anchovies, garlic and rosemary and roasted in a hot oven for not too long so it’s still deliciously pink in the middle.
And haggis is an excellent match too.

A magnificently maturing wine; the gloriously expressed bouquet shows dried plum, smoked game, cedar, violet and tapenade characters. The palate is powerful and graceful at the same time, displaying outstanding depth of flavour together with layers of silky texture and polished tannins. This is seamless and exquisitely polished with rich spicy/savoury flavours. At its best: now to 2023.
